There is a really bad strain of parvo out there now. We immunize our puppies with a parvo only at 4 and 5 weeks. At 6 weeks, we start the 5-way series. Still can't guarantee a pup will not get it. If you get another one, wait to bring home until at least 3 weeks AFTER completion of the entire series of immunizations — probably at 3 months or later. Sorry about your loss. awww..poor baby. My first puppy, a beagle named Sydney also died from parvo. We then got another puppy, Simon, who ten years later, died of cancer. So sorry to hear about Macho.
