Will my 4 years old cocker spaniel get along with a beagle puppy?

I have a lovely female cocker, she's about 4, i used to have a small male pinscher too but i had to give him away, unfortunately Daisy almost never got along with him;
Now i'm considering buying a female beagle but i don't know if my actual dog will like her.
My dog is really cute and friendly it was just an exception that she never got along with the pinscher.

I don't tolerate my dogs not getting along. If the older dog is picking on a puppy, I correct that behavior, and if the puppy is picking on my older dog, I correct that too. They can put the new puppy in her place, but I will not tolerate them being mean to her. I will not let the new puppy get too excited with the older dogs, because baby teeth just hurt. You have to be the one to correct things.

    It is possibile that they will get along, and possible that they might not, it just depends on the individual dogs. They might get along, hopefully they will.

    Beagles are really great dogs and mabye since their both females they'll get along well. but your cocker spaniel may not like her because puppies are very demanding and playful and if your cocker spaniel isn't very active then the puppy can become annoying. If you get the beagle make sure that you give a lot of love and attention to both, that might also help with them getting along. They won't be jealous of each other.
    Good Luck!

    It depends on their personalities. Most of the time it takes the older one a week or two to get used to the new pup. And the new pup usually wants to emulate the dog that already lives there. However, if you have two dominate personalities, there could be some alpha female fights. We used to have an old male dog and got a 1 yr old female. Instead of wanting to be like him, she wanted to dominate him and would attack him if we didn't keep a close eye on her.
    Hope you have better luck!

    bring the beagle and have him meet with your cocker so that you can know for sure. personally, i think that cocker spaniels get along great with everything and everybody, but every dog is different. you wont know for sure until you see them interact, so set up a supervised meeting for them and see how it goes :)
