I am in Cheshire, UK.
Any advice most welcome!
i dont think you will have much luck, if people can sell these dogs over £500 there wont be many in the dogs home – but its worth a try to get in contact and ask if they have any/ever had any beagle puppys.
Im sure you will have more chance rescuing a beagle adult though

Log on and find the Beagle owners club and enquire with them.

You may already have done this, but if not this may work. If you search on the web for Beagle rescue centers…there might be one in the UK. Or else…keep a look out on your local RSPCA or other rescue center websites as you never know, they often put pictures up of their rescue dogs and you may just find a beagle. I wish you luck…and my rescue border terrier X sends a bark!

You may be lucky in finding a Beagle puppy in a Rescue Centre, but it’s unlikely. Suggest you contact one of the Beagle Clubs (you will find them online) and see what might be available. I’m afraid you may have to buy a Beagle puppy by the normal routes.

Contact Beagle Welfare. They are a lovely bunch of people helping find homes for down on their luck Beagles. The website gives you a weekly rehoming list and details of your local contact. We did this and had a visit from Helen who covers the St Helens area. She brought over her gorgeous dogs to meet us and to give us a home check, then put us on the waiting list. Within weeks we had our beautiful little girl. we’ve never looked back and we’ve now had Cassie for about six months. She’s a little lovable, mischievious, naughty, funny, charming fun dog. Go for it x

Is there a Dogs Trust centre near you? I think there’s one near Liverpool, they may have a dog for you. Also research if there are any beagle rescue centres near where you live.

Are you looking to rescue a Beagle Puppy as you don't want to pay for it???
There is a breeder who is one of the top Beagle breeders in the UK not to far away near Southport. But, they do not give them away. They do have older Beagles which they need to rehome every so often. These do cost but not as much as a puppy. When I was there a couple of months ago they did have a 5 year old Lemon and White girl to be rehomed.
Beagles are lovely looking animals but are very stubborn and are hard to train. You need to escape proof your garden as they will wander off very happily. They are hard work and alot of patience is needed.
If you want more info email me.
