my boxer was just like that exept it wasnt a liitle pen it was our yard fence and when she got out she would run like crazy! that dog is so cute:D
I had a dog that …
I had a dog that was part beagle, and it seemed to stop at nothing to escape from wherever it was kept. There was a kennel it was in once that had an opening in the chain link fence that was blocked by a bunch of cement blocks, but even that didn’t stop the dog from escaping. It seems that beagles can sure be stubborn!

i had a male beagle that did the same thing!!! he was always getting out of the yard… we caught him mid-climb dozens of times! he provided hours of laughs and a heck of a lot of frustration when we had to go chase him down

LOL my beagle use to climb just like that. He got “kicked” out of puppy daycare service cause they couldn’t keep in the fenced in area, he would constantly climb out and run around the store.

My beagle comes from a long line of excavators, but our neighbours beagle is indeed a climber. No fence to high for that little guy!
Maybe those fences should be greased or buttered.
