Also what Type of food should i get? my mom is getting a child friendly beagle pup rescue or from a shelter what Type of food is best for a beagle?
it will be male and my sis is naming it underdog or shoeshine if that helps

You can give it any collar that you want. That one is fine.

For food, you need a good brand such as Canidae, Blue Buffalo, Innova, etc. Do not feed your dog cheap crap such as "Ol' Roy"

As for the names, I don't care for them. No offence, or anything.

5 year old Beagle
1 year old APBT
3 year old Newfoundland

all of these dogs have mastered sit, stay, down, up and are partially scent trained, meaning they will only follow a scent until something else catches their attention

The APBT would be a great dog to train for search and rescue. They are highly intellegent and were originally bred for hunting, not fighting.

i dont think you will have much luck, if people can sell these dogs over £500 there wont be many in the dogs home – but its worth a try to get in contact and ask if they have any/ever had any beagle puppys.
Im sure you will have more chance rescuing a beagle adult though

A rescued Beagle puppy just joined our family. There have been lots of dogs in our family over the years (chows, rotties, shelties) but never Beagles. Just wanted to hear some of your favorite Beagle stories. :3
