Miniature Beagle Puppies

Is it possible to get dwarf/midget dogs?

Monday, October 27th, 2008

i have a 7 month old "pure bred" beagle puppy and she is alot smaller than she is meant to be, approx slightly more then half the size of our last pure bred beagle's (we have had 3 beagles previously so we know how big there meant to get).

So i was just wondering is it possible to get dwarf/midget/ what ever you prefer to call them, dogs? And i am not talking about miniature dog that are bred like that.
She is not the runt, we had a choice of her and the runt and we chose her coz she was running around and more active than the runt and thats what we wanted.

shes been to the vet and got her shorts and is desexed and i don't think the vet has really mentioned anything that could be rong with her, she runs and plays all the time and we feed her our own made dinners of roo mince and lentils, chick peas, soup beans and fish oil so there healthy.

Could be a health problem with the dog. Like a bad pancreas or a problem with it's pituitary gland.

I would get it checked out.

My 2-yr old beagle-springer spaniel has a peasized red bump on her lip, what could it be?

Monday, October 27th, 2008

It looks like a blister or a pimple and I noticed it early last week. I noticed it again last night and it has grown in size. It is now about the size of a small pea. It is on the bottom lip/gum area and it is the only one. I am going to call the vet tomorrow, but are there any ideas of what it could be or what it came from? We live with my parents who have 2 miniature poodles (and 3 new puppies) and they eat out of glass bowls and drink out of a plastic one. They eat Iams dry food and Pedigree wet food (once in the morning).

hmmm.
doesn't sound too normal.
don't take any chances either.
get her to the vet right away.
good luck. :)
