Sweet Baby Kitten – Rescued Kitten

Friday, September 12th, 2008

I had visited a home in upstate NY, country like area surrounded by woods. There are some stray cats & 3 kittens at the house I was staying at. They were all so hungry. What can I do for them? well I did fed them.. and I tried to “rescue” as many as I could.. but I only was able to get one of them. So She is home with me now. I will care for her (already been to the vets) get her used to being handled and then try to find her a loving home. She is currantly (as of 9/8/08) being treated for upper respitory infection & slight pink eye. Which should clear up in no time and I will wait for her to be healthy before letting her be adopted out. She is also dewormed. Most kittens get parasites/worms that are easlily treated. Each day she is becoming sweeter & more loving. Purrs everytime I take her out (she is isolated from my other pets) She weighs about 2-3 lbs as of 9/8/08. She is about 12 weeks old. Calico Female. She is learning to play with me & trust me. Right now she maybe to shy for children. As I don’t think before me, she was ever handled by people. But with time she can adjust. I plan on exposing her to as many things as possible.. but starting with small steps. Remember this is a kitten that has never been in the house. though she automactically took to the litter box. So she is good to go on that. I don’t think she is old enough to get shots yet. But I will check on that, and get the shots if she is old enough. I would also like to get her tested for FIV & other cat realted dieases. But for now I am paying for her care out of pocket, so some things have to wait till I have the money for it. But she is such a sweet little girl and I think doing amazingly well and adjusting so great.. especailly for a kitten that was completely ourdoors never being handled. Oh also I will slowly expose her to my 2 dogs to help get use dogs. Though I have a Beagle & Chihuahua who are naturally calm & friendly with other animals. Please help her find a loving home. Responsible serious loving people only please (located in Long Island)

I first saw the kittens on 9/7/08. cute.. Living outdoors in the woods. but these kitty’s deserve better then to live a “Stray” cat life. Stray cats live with constant sickness (parasites & upper respitory) chased & maybe killed by loose dogs or other wild animals. Being hated by some people who will throw things at them or others do worse things to harm them. Plus living ourdoors in possible harsh elements (Pouring Rains, COLD winters & HOT summers. At least I saved one.

Corporate Sponsors Needed to build No-Kill Shelter, Orlando

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

http://www.PetRescuebyJudy.com
Facts and Updates about Pet Rescue by Judy, Orlando, Florida. Corporate sponsors needed to donate to 501c3 pet rescue in Orlando Florida to build a no-kill shelter.
Judy Sarullo, an animal rescuer in Central Florida for over 15 years, lost her kennel 18 months ago due to a zoning issue. Since then she has had to rely on a network of foster homes and dedicated volunteers. Despite these limitations, she finds homes for over 1,500 cats and dogs a year. Now, however, she is facing a new threat that may mean the demise of this vital Central Florida resource. Orange County Code Enforcement has found her in violation of code and given her six months to come into compliance or face fines of $250/day. Since Code Enforcement will not tell her in what way she is “out of compliance” this essentially means Judy has to move or shut down her rescue!

Judy has six months to relocate and is asking communities in the tri-county area to offer suggestions. She is searching for a small parcel of land, zoned for industrial use, that has power and water to it and can be fenced! More importantly, she wants to relocate to an area whose community will welcome her and her cause.

For those of you who are against euthanasia, against the “catch and kill” cycle of some pounds, and against g ing shelters, please know that Judy has saved many dogs and cats from these situations. Many organizations have rescued animals from g ing shelters and transported animals directly to Judy’s rescue, who are then placed in the loving homes of her foster families, until adoptions are made.

Judy’s contributions to the community have been profound, not only to the animals she has saved, but to the families that have adopted her animals, who have found their forever pet.

The Animals are Planning a Revolution – Vote for Judy!

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

http://www.petitiononline.com/sep2007/petition-sign.html

Pet Rescue by Judy, located in Orlando, Florida, is desperately trying to relocate. In an effort to do so, we are going for a long shot – asking Extreme Makeover to help us build a new facility, where she is welcomed. She can’t even adopt animals from Orange County shelters, where she resides, because she does not own a “shelter”. Judy rescues by relying on her wonderful volunteers and dedicated foster homes.

Rescuing dogs and cats for over 15 years, Judy has re-homed approximatley 1,500 pets each year.

Contact Judy with any ideas, tips or information you may have to make this dream turn into a reality.

http://www.PetRescueByJudy.rescuegroups.com

Our nation’s shelters are overcrowded. Dogs and cats are being euthanized throughout our country because of irresponsible owners who have failed to spay and neuter their pets, because of irresponsible breeders, and yes, because of the dreaded puppy mill industry.

In some states, dogs and cats are still being g ed (kill-boxes) with carbon monoxide. With the help of other magnificent volunteer groups, these animals that are on death row, are pulled from high kill-shelters and transported to Judy and other highly respected rescues throughout the country. So you see, Judy’s efforts effects animals nationwide, not just in the Central Florida area.

If you have signed our petition, Judy thanks you, and we ask that you forward our request to as many friends and family that you can, to help us reach out and spread the word.

We can’t change the world overnight. Lawmakers and voters must turn this nightmare around. But, in the meantime, Judy and her solid supporters can only focus on liberating these dogs and cats and re-homing them quickly, and professionally.

Please join us by commenting on this video so we can design a plan that works for all.
